Kevin was one of my students at Humboldt, he was super kind, funny, intelligent and a great conversationalist. He had a heart of gold, we would check in frequently and he would take breaks in my office when he felt overwhelmed with school, he was always welcome. I will miss him and his energy, Mr Reies, School Social Worker

I remember we used to go to el Rio and we had a small engine class together, I remember one time he brought a big thing of syurup to school just because he had breakfast for lunch. Another time at el Rio we were playing soccer and he didn't want to go to the other side to get out to go to the park so he jumped the fence. But we had a lot of good times and so sad to hear his life was cut so short, I pray for his family rest in peace kevin, you were an amazing person and one of my best friends, Star (Estrella Perez)

Kevin was a funny guy who liked to play soccer with me and sat right next to me in our foundation class, in gym class he would accidentally kick my foot and then he would jump around grabbing his own foot in pain screaming "Why are soccer players feet hurt so much!?" And i´d just laugh and shrug. Especially when we were running shoulder to shoulder and i either ran into a wall or i´d fall, he would always apologize deeply. He was so nice. he showed me this game called "cookie run kingdom" and he showed me how to play it and now, i look at his account on the game and i remember all the time from when i met him to the last time i seen him. The first time i saw him i said to myself in my head "who is this guy? I never saw him in my 6th grade or 7th grade year so why do i see him now?" And the last time i saw him i remember playing soccer with him on the last day of 8th grade. Im so sad his life was cut so short that he couldn´t even make it to freshman year, and i was looking forward to seeing him next year. I pray for kevin and his family. Rest in piece.
