Kim Ray Lyons, a man of great humor, creativity, and spirited energy, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on August 20, 1953, in Flint, Michigan, Kim's zest for life and infectious laughter left a mark on all who knew him.
Kim was a beloved father to his son, Raymond, and a cherished brother to Dave (and wife Dorothy) Lyons and Phil (and wife Kathleen) Lyons. His legacy continues through his two adoring grandchildren, and his five nieces and nephews: Vickie, Robert, Dawn, Susan, and Patrick, who will fondly remember their fun-loving uncle. Kim was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Edith Lyons, whose love shaped him into the remarkable man he was.
An avid motorcycle enthusiast, Kim's passion for the open road was unparalleled. His adventures on two wheels took him across America, creating memories and stories that he would recount with a twinkle in his eye. His love for motorcycles was matched only by his enjoyment of boats and hunting, hobbies that reflected his love for the great outdoors and the freedom it offered. He retired from AC Delphi in 2007 after years of work.
Kim's sense of humor was as boundless as the highways he traveled. He could light up a room with his quick wit and had the rare gift of making everyone around him feel at ease. His creative spirit was evident in the way he approached life, always finding unique solutions to challenges and inspiring those around him to think outside the box.
A spirited soul, Kim never shied away from an adventure or an opportunity to try something new. His enthusiasm for life was contagious, and he encouraged others to live each day to the fullest. His presence was a source of joy and laughter, and his absence will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Kim Ray Lyons lived a life full of passion, laughter, and love. As we say goodbye to this extraordinary man, we take comfort in the countless happy memories he has left behind. His spirit will continue to ride on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his legacy will endure through the stories that will be told and retold by those whose lives he touched. Kim's journey through life was a ride well taken, and he will be dearly missed. The family wishes to thank the staff of Suncrest for all the care Kim received while there.
