Kimberly Dawn Worthy, born on May 19, 1962, in Columbus, Georgia, passed away on June 14, 2025, at the age of 63. She was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness. Kim was the pillar of our family - the one who held us all together. She was the heart of every celebration, the reason we came together for holidays, birthdays, and just-because days. If there was a reason to gather, Kim was already in the kitchen, planning the menu, baking cakes, and making sure every detail was touched by her love.
Kimberly is preceded in death by her father, Marvin Barrett, and her brother, Stanley Barrett. She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory forever. She is survived by her devoted children, Melissa Worthy, Justin Worthy, and Brandon Worthy; her caring mother, Gladys Barrett; and her dear sisters, Terri Jones (Steve) and Stacey Groover (Ron). Kimberly is also fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, as well as countless friends who were like family to her.
A memorial service to honor Kimberly's life will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at 4 o'clock at the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Her family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and the love she shared with all who knew her. Kimberly's gentle spirit and enduring love will remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
