Laila E. Moore Coleman, 83, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY.
She was born on June 10, 1942, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Imogene P. Parker Moore and O.B. Moore, Sr. She was formerly employed as a salesclerk for JCPenney. She enjoyed watching tv, working crossword puzzles, and loved her pets. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Laila was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Rodney Dwayne "Rooney" Lee; sister, Linda Jones; brother, Terry Moore; and her niece, Joy Moore.
Her survivors include her daughter, Lora Lee of Madisonville; sister, Annie McKenney of Anton; brothers, Charles Moore of Hanson, Roland Moore of Anton, and O.B. (Kenna) Moore, Jr. of Madisonville; grandson, Justin (Jessica) Lee of Madisonville; great-granddaughters, Zophia Lee and Ava Lee; great-grandson, Hunter Lee; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Hayes officiating. Burial to follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Anton.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour on Friday at the funeral home.
The pallbearers are Justin Lee, Seth Moore, Samuel Moore, Ben Henderson, Chad Schroader, and Barry Cooper.
