Larry Cavins, age 73, of Brookville, Indiana died Saturday morning, July 12, 2025 at his residence in Brookville following a brief illness.
Born May 9, 1952 in Brookville, Indiana he was the son of the late Opal & Edna (Neeley) Cavins. On December 18, 1976, he was united in marriage to the former Cheryl Blair, and she survives.
Larry retired from Owens Corning in Brookville after more than 47 years of dedicated service. In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing, having made several fishing trips to Canada; golfing, and socializing with friends at the VFW in Brookville, as well as spending time in Florida.
Besides Cheryl, his loving wife of nearly 49 years, survivors include a daughter, Kristen Brewer of Brookville, Indiana; four grandchildren, Camryn, Landon, Taylan, and Adelyn Brewer; two brothers, Claude Cavins of Batesville, Indiana and Albert Cavins of Cincinnati, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Lee Ekhoff, Charlene Ellis, and Gladys Remmler, as well as a brother, Marshal Cavins.
Private services will be conducted at the convenience of the family.
