It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Larry Arnold Kahl, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, who was called home on October 23, 2024.
Larry was born on October 1, 1940, to Arnold and Ethel (Duncan) Kahl in Barron, Wisconsin. After spending a year at Watertown Seminary School, he graduated from Prairie Farm High School in 1958. Larry's work life began as a farmhand, followed by a position at Twin Town Cheese in Arland. He then moved to Seattle, where he worked as a dispatcher for Boeing's Minuteman Program and married his beloved wife, Joann Edith (Kunkel) Kahl, on December 1, 1961.
In May 1963, Larry and Joann returned to the Midwest to raise their family closer to relatives. He took a job at Control Data Corporation in Roseville, Minnesota, before relocating to Pepin, Wisconsin in 1976. While working as a production control manager at Northern Wisconsin Manufacturing, he made lasting memories with his family for 11 years before finishing his career at Warman International in Madison WI.

Larry was also actively involved in the Lions Club where he proudly contributed to their award-winning parade float as a Happy Whistler. Also, an avid fisherman, he volunteered with the Sportsman Club, participating in numerous fishing contests at Lake Poskin. He was a dedicated member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Almena serving as an elder and trustee since his retirement in 2001.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife Joann, his cherished children: Maureen Peters, Barry (Julie) Kahl, Corrine (Scott) Replogle, and Jeffrey (Evelyn) Kahl. His sister Sheila Eggen. He is also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: Amanda (Lance) Pronschinske, Krista (Trapper) Burmeister, Hanna (Joshua) Molter, Brandon Hoff, Darrin Kahl, Jennah (Nelson) Holo, Charla Replogle (Tay), and Seth Replogle (Cierra), Gabrielle Kahl (Andrew), Zachery Kahl (Natalie), Cody Kahl (Emily) along with his twelve additional great-grandchildren: Peter, Lucas, Dakota, Sienna, Dillinger, Ellie, Eva, Gabe, Caleb (Lizbeth), Alexis (Blake), Drayke, and Mycah.
