Larry Lynn Lang took hold of the hand of Jesus and crossed over to his Heavenly Home for which he so longed for on Sunday, March 9th, 2025. Larry was born in Ramsey, IN on Saturday, September 11th, 1938, in a one room log cabin, the first child of Archie Lang and Cleatice Turner Lang. His paternal grandparents were Jesse W and Anna (Franks) Lang. His maternal grandparents were Claude C and Clara (Nicholson) Turner.
Larry is survived by his wife, the former Alma Darlene Rudolph. They were married on April 7, 1961, and brought 5 children to their marriage who survive. Teresa Lang-Tsingine (Alvin), Smedley, Indiana; Lisa Lang, Borden Indiana; Kevin Lang (LeiAnn), Pulltight, Indiana; Brian Lang, San Antonio, Texas; Ruth Ann Green (Mark), Pekin, Indiana.
Larry is also survived by his siblings Roger (MaryAnn) Lang, Carole Sue (Fred) Smith, Donald (Joan) Lang, and Rebecca (Dan) Julius. Larry is survived by his dearly loved grandchildren Wesley Lang (Jordan), Conner Green, Emily Lang and Caleb Green.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Rae Etta Wilcher & Phyllis Kay Lang as well as granddaughter, Anna MuLan Lang.
Larry's life embraced a life of walking daily with Jesus. He was a prayer warrior for all of those he loved and those who he knew that needed prayers. Larry was dedicated to his work with Gideons International in retirement. He also found time to minister to a number of Native American Indian Reservations, work with the local jail ministry and assist with the Angel Tree program.
Larry was a graduate of Pekin High School, Class of 1957. He was involved with the band where he played trombone and was active in the FFA Chapter and also served as FFA Chapter Treasurer.
Larry retired from the MoorMan's Mfg. Company after 36 years of dedicated service to farmers. His sales area was all of Harrison and parts of Washington and Crawford Counties. He would often tell the story of the.01c paycheck he received and that it cost more to mail it. He, himself, was a farmer since his teen years where he enjoyed raising a variety of animals, including honey bees. In his later years, he was an advocate for organic farming.
Larry enjoyed life, traveling whether it was around the country or just to Harrison County, Europe, and visiting family and friends. Larry was well versed in theology, agriculture, including new farming innovations even though he was no longer farming, and many other topics due to his love for reading.
He was a proud member of the Sons of the American Revolution, National Society Descendants of American Farmers, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, First Families of Harrison, Clark and Floyd Counties and was a member of the National & Indiana Farmers Organization. Larry believed in giving the gift of life, blood. He donated over 10 gallons of blood during his lifetime.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Larry's memory may be made to his favorite charities: Samaritan's Purse, Mercy Ship, or Salvation Army.
The family would like to extend our sincere appreciation and thanks to those who helped with Larry's caregiving, the staff of Hampton Oaks, Stephanie Hickey and Linda Hubbard.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 13th from 2pm until 8pm and on Friday, March 14th from 9am-11am. Funeral services will be on Friday, March 14th at 11am at the Love Funeral Home, 14345 Greene St. NE, Palmyra, Indiana, 47164.
Larry will be laid to await the resurrection morning at the Palmyra Cemetery, Palmyra, IN.

My wife, Ruthann (Lagle) Souder, and I were classmates at Pekin High School on the hill. We appreciated Larry´s academic skills and his goals in life. Larry and I both shared a great relationship with our shop teacher, Richard Rushing. Larry stayed in contact with Richard over the years and visited him in Tennessee. On several occasions, Larry would call and give updates on Richard.

One of the greatest honor that my wife, Ruthann, and I had was to meet Larry and Darlene´s daughter, Ruth Ann, at our 50th high school class reunion held at Spring Mill. They said they respected my Ruthann so much that they named their daughter Ruth Ann. My Ruthann and I have enjoyed 66 years of marriage, and she has been a loving caring person not only to me but everyone she has met over the years.

It was so special that Ruth Ann called to inform us of Larry´s passing. It´s also been a joy to develop a relationship with Larry´s wife, Darlene, in recent years.

Larry was a story teller and never met anyone he would not befriend.
His optimism was contagious. Even with declining health issues he would still like to tell the good news when I spoke with him on the phone.

Rest in peace, Larry, and we´ll see you later.
