Larry M. Salyer age 76 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025 at his home. He was born August 30, 1948 at Swampton, Kentucky to the late Aaron C. and Geraldine Howard Salyer.
Survived by his wife, Wanda Barker Salyer, one son, Gregory Scott (Sasha) Salyer of Salyersville, Kentucky, one daughter, Marketta (Ryan) Wardlow of Indiana, three brothers, Jerry Salyer, Gary Salyer both of Salyersville, Kentucky, Terry Salyer of Richmond, Kentucky, two sisters, Elaine (James) Holbrook of Jackson, Kentucky, Vonda (Mike) Myers of Indiana, seven grandchildren, Hunter Salyer, Larah Salyer, Callan Salyer, Aslynn Salyer, Felicia Rector, Allie Rector, and Whitney Rector.
In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by one son, Larry Michael Salyer II.
Larry was a United States Army Veteran and a Pipefitter with Local 521 for forty-nine years.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 16, 2025 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Blair officiating. Burial will follow in the Salyer Cemetery at Oakley, Kentucky. Friends may visit the funeral Tuesday, July 15, 2025 from 5:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. and any time prior to funeral services.
Military Rites will be given by the Salyersville D.A.V. Chapter 15 the day of services.
In Lieu of flowers, family has request contributions made to the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
