Lauretta M. Becker, age 92, of of Kimball, formerly of Bloomington, Pequot Lakes, and Cannon Falls, died Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at her home at Vitality Living in Kimball.
Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 20, 2025, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Tim Banks will officiate. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, near Little Falls. Memorials are preferred to the National Society of The Blind - Minnesota.
Lauretta Mae Wiemann was born on May 10, 1933, in LaMoure, North Dakota to Thomas and Samanatha (Brademeyer) Wiemann. Lauretta graduated from Milaca High School and, on November 29, 1952, married her loving husband, Robert Wayne Becker, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Milaca, Minnesota. Together, they established a warm and nurturing home in Bloomington, where they raised their three sons. Lauretta's devotion to her family was unparalleled, and she found her greatest joy in spending time with her loved ones.
For many years, Lauretta worked as a retail clerk at SuperValu, until her retirement in 1982. Following their retirement, Lauretta and Robert created countless memories at their family home on Sibley Lake in Pequot Lakes. After Robert's passing, Lauretta continued to find joy in the community at Vitality Living in Kimball, where she became a spirited participant of bingo and her love for snacks. Lauretta had a deep love for crocheting, spending countless hours creating beautiful pieces.
She is survived by her sons, Lawrence (partner, Cindy Carter) of St. Paul, Ronald of Chanhassen, and David (Connie) of St. Augusta; 5 grandchildren, Joel, Sarah, Rachel, Amanda, and Emily; 7 great-grandchildren, Charles, Madeline, Sofia, Hannah, Lucille, Mallory, and Cedar; brother, Kenneth (Mary Jane) Wiemann of Woodbury; siblings-in-law, Marcy Wiemann of Rosemount, Richard Becker of Big Lake, and Pat Becker of Milaca; and nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Lauretta was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; and 9 siblings, Thomas, Margaret, Beatrice, Jeanette, Genevieve, Donald, Bill, Robert, and Kathy.
Lauretta's grandchildren will serve as casket bearers. Arrangements entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Kimball.
