Lauro Couturier Maciel, Jr., passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born on August 27, 1933, in Lockhart to Lauro Maciel, Sr., and Maria Couturier. Lauro was preceded in death by his parents, son Samuel P. Maciel; siblings Delores Maciel, Victor Maciel, Joe Maciel, Rosa Maciel Oliva, Jacob Maciel, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Dominga Pastrano Maciel, four children Rachel Maciel, Raymond Maciel, Larry Maciel (Loretta), Daniel Maciel (Mary); six grandchildren Samuel Maciel (Dominque), Selena Maciel, Jaime Maciel (Amanda), Bryan Maciel, Justin Maciel, Mario Maciel; five great grandchildren Ava, Daniel, Xzander, Kamilla, Jaelena; and a sister Evangelina Maciel Teneyuque. Honor to serve as pallbearers: Xzander Gonzales, Jacob Maciel, Jr., Justin Recio, Rogelio Recio III, Galen Recio, Skylar Martinez. Honorary pallbearers: Jaime Maciel, Bryan Maciel, Justin Maciel, Daniel Morales. Recitation of the Holy rosary will be Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at DeLeon Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Saint Mary of the visitation Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery.
