Scott Tanner passed away peacefully at his home with family by his side in League City, Texas on June 23, 2025. He was born to Lawrence and Billie Tanner in Orange, Texas on August 27, 1955. Scott was 69 years old. He spent his young years in Saudi Arabia and attended the ARAMCO schools. Then he returned to the U.S. for high school and graduated from St. Paul's school in Covington, Louisiana, class of 1973. He later attended College of the Mainland, Texas City, Texas, class of 1987.
Scott worked in the Oil and Gas industry his entire career. He was an active member of API, American Petroleum Institute. He traveled the world, made many friends, and left fun memories along the way. Scott was an avid and dedicated motorcycle rider. In 2017, he completed a solo trip from the Florida Keys to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska and back home in nineteen days.
Scott is survived by his wife, Paula Tanner, his mom, Billie Tanner, sisters, Laurie and Taylor Kelsch, aunt, Billie Rosoff, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Scott was preceded in death by his dad, Lawrence Tanner, brother, Larry Tanner, nephews, Don Robinson and Michael Stewart.
In lieu of flowers donation's may be made to St. Jude’s, Star of hope Mission in Houston, or the charity of your choice.
