LaVerne Marie Coleman, 98, of Weston, passed away peacefully at her home on July 17, 2025. She was born to William and Ruby Chapelle on October 10, 1926.

LaVerne was married to the love of her life, Robert Coleman, for 76 years until his passing on May 10, 2025. She is survived by her loving children: Patricia (Terry) Knouse, Kathleen Drake, Mary Claire (Gary) Kendall, Bill (Jane) Coleman, Tim (Theresa) Coleman, and Tom (April) Coleman. She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

LaVerne is preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents, one son-in-law, Gary, and three sisters.

Throughout her life, LaVerne was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and friend. She had a heart of gold, and family meant the world to her. She adored having her grandchildren around her. LaVerne was passionate about playing Cribbage and Bridge, enjoyed playing cards, and loved watching TV in her spare time. She embraced the holidays with her loving family and was a happy homemaker.

A devoted Catholic, LaVerne said the Rosary daily, and her faith was very important to her.

Services will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at St. Mark Catholic Church in Rothschild. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian burial at 11:30 a.m. Burial for both LaVerne and Robert will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, with military honors for Robert.

In leau of flowers, the family would like donations made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
