LaVonne Anderson was born November 9, 1928 near Salem to Ted and Gladys (Kinzley) Anderson. She grew up on a farm near Salem and graduated from Salem High School. On February 22, 1948 she married Clarence Mader and they remained on the farm. They were blessed with four children, Sheryl, Larry, Bob and Jane.
LaVonne was a lifelong member of Ramsey Baptist Church near Montrose. She was active in the church circle for many years. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening and music. LaVonne spent many hours studying the Bible as well.
She is survived by: her children, Larry (Linda) Mader of Spearfish, SD, Bob Mader of Sumner, WA and Jane (Bob) DeVries of Rapid City, SD; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Sheryl and siblings, Ruby, John (Fern), Gene (Grace), Elwood, and June (Russel) Greenough.
