L. Lee Milligan Jr., known affectionately as Lee to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on February 7th, 2025, in Grand Ledge, Michigan, at the age of 69. Born on August 25th, 1955, in Lansing, Michigan, Lee was a man of great humor and generosity, whose laughter and kindness will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
Lee was a proud alumnus of Grand Ledge High School, class of 1973, and he went on to apply his strength and expertise to a fulfilling career as a diesel mechanic, crane operator, and truck driver. His hard work and dedication to his craft earned him the respect and friendship of his colleagues.
An outdoorsman at heart, Lee was happiest when he was hunting, fishing, or shooting. His love for the outdoors was matched only by the love he carried for his family. Lee was a loving father to his children, Candie Parry, Jason Milligan, and Corie (Timothy) Vallender. His legacy of love and laughter will live on through his numerous cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He leaves behind his beloved siblings Lynda Milligan, Lon (Ruth) Milligan, Loren Milligan, Les Milligan, LaRae (Robert) Dorman, and LouAnn (Michael) Flitton, along with many adoring nieces and nephews, his former stepchildren Renee (Robert) Dear, Amber (Jeremy) Schmidtman, and their many children. Lee has now reunited with his parents, Larry and Charleen Milligan, and his niece Brooke E. Humphrey, who preceded him in death.
There are no services planned at this time. The family has entrusted arrangements to Mills Funeral Home, Peters & Murray Chapel, 301 E. Jefferson St., Grand Ledge, MI 48837.
