Lena A. Carpenter, 82, Schofield, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2025, with her family by her side, at Copperleaf Assisted Living, Marathon.
Lena was born on June 23, 1942, in Schofield, WI. Daughter of the late, Martin and Elnora (Freeman) Tollar.
Lena had a deep love for the arts, expressing herself through painting, drawing, and working with ceramics. Each piece reflecting her unique perspective and creative spirit. An avid singer, her voice brought warmth and comfort to family gatherings and community events alike. Her talent for interior design transformed every space she touched into a welcoming haven. Above all, she cherished time with her family, finding her greatest joy in their laughter, stories, and togetherness. Her legacy lives on in the love she shared and the beauty she left behind.
Lena is survived by her daughters, Tamara Sanchez, Vicky Piaszak, Joy Armstrong, and Selena Carpenter; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; nine nephews and five nieces. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings; Delores Benskin, Martin "Junior", Jimmy, Reggie, Darrell, Jerry, and June Tollar; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee. Pastor Phyllis Smoot will officiate. Burial will take place at St. Paul Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m., until the time of service, all at the Funeral Home. Online condolences can be directed to the family at www.bestefh.com.
