Leonard Elvin Obituary

Elvin, Leonard F. "Lenny", age 77, of North Haledon, on Saturday, June 28, 2025. Born and raised in Paterson, Leonard had lived in Hawthorne for nearly 40 years before moving to North Haledon. He served his country in Vietnam as a soldier in the U.S. Army. After his service, Leonard worked as a truck mechanic, owning and operating Elvin Automotive Services in Paterson for nearly 50 years.
Leonard was the beloved father of Jeffrey L. Elvin and his wife Kander of North Haledon, Michael N. Elvin and his wife Caitlin of Greenwood, SC, and Kristie L. O'Neill and her husband Shawn of Hawthorne. Loving grandfather of Lucy Jean Elvin of Hawthorne, Asher Darby Elvin of North Haledon, and Kellen James Elvin of Greenwood. Leonard is also survived by his former spouse Charlene K. Elvin of Hawthorne.
Friends may visit with the family from 4-8pm on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Ave., Hawthorne. Entombment at Fair Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum will be private to the family.
