The Life and Times of Len
Leonard Lee Green-known affectionately as "Len"-was born on October 28, 1942, in Kent, Washington. He was the second of six children born to Wilbur and Dorothy Green. Len grew up surrounded by the love and laughter of his siblings: Neal, Dave, Kathy, Janet, and Phyllis. He is survived by Dave, Kathy, Janet, and Phyllis-who carry his memory forward with warmth and pride.
Len attended school in Kent, where he met his first wife, Dorothy Beanblossom. They were married on June 5, 1960, and soon after began building a beautiful family together. Their first daughter, Linda, was born on December 8, 1960, followed by Debi on February 26, 1962, and Deann on November 7, 1965. The family of five shared many adventures, especially their love of camping, which created cherished memories that lasted a lifetime.
Throughout his life, Len was surrounded by a close-knit group of friends who became like family. Their bond was unbreakable, and their laughter was contagious. We like to imagine that Len has now reunited with Dorothy, Betty, Don, Jim, Judy, Jan, and Judy-his beloved circle-where they are surely enjoying each other's company once again.
On January 20, 1990, Len married Pam Bolyard and got a son in the bargain, Kenneth Baker. Their journey together was one of resilience, love, and deep connection. In a beautiful reaffirmation of their bond, they remarried on January 20, 2019, at St. Philomena's. Through life's ups and downs, Len and Pam remained a devoted and loving couple until his passing.
Len's career path was as diverse as it was fascinating. From moving furniture at auctions to traveling the country repairing glass equipment, Len was never afraid of hard work. He even took on unique roles like fixing a dragster ride in his driveway and serving on the pit crew for the KISW Miss Rock hydroplane team. His mechanical skills were unmatched-a gift he proudly passed on to one of his grandsons.
A Legacy of Love
Len leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience. He is survived by his devoted wife Pam, his three daughters-Linda, Debi, and Deann- His Stepson Kenny, eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
We Will Miss Him
"He learned much from Star Trek he lived long and prospered."
