Leonard Thomas Taylor, 86, of Batesville, departed this life on Sunday, July 20, 2025. He was born in Somerville, Tennessee, on November 26, 1938, to Thomas Andrew Taylor and Neecie Clark.
Leonard was a man of many talents and abilities. As a self-employed business man he did many facets of working with leather such as making belts, saddles, and other leather items. His passion for horses brought him into training them, especially the walking horses. He also enjoyed gardening and fishing.
Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Jason (Lisa) Taylor, of Batesville, and Gary (Joyce) Taylor, of Middleton, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Gary, Jr., Jona (Chris), Caydee, Cheyanne, Samuel (Madison), and Precious; his great grandchildren, Austin, Gabby, Rylee, Chris, Logan, Violet, and Evelyn.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, James Edward Taylor.
