Leroy Spencer Davis, affectionately known as Rapid Roy, passed away
peacefully on February 2, 2025, in Fairburn, Georgia, at the age of 70. Born on
June 19, 1954, Leroy lived a life full of energy and passion that left an indelible
mark on those who knew him.
Leroy was a father to his son Jeremy Spencer Davis (Wife Destiny Davis);
daughters Tara Davis Maynor (Husband Robert Maynor), Chandla Reid
(Husband Joey), and Amanda Davis. He was also a proud grandfather to Blake,
Chelsea, Cody, Megan, Haleigh, Joshua, Payton, and Levi and a great
grandfather to Jake, Bryson, Caysen, Thayer, Brennah, Emma, Kodi and
Emmalie. He had many siblings including Larry Davis, Joe Davis, Phillip Davis,
Terri Gray (Husband Tracy), Carolyn Huber, and Billy Davis (Wife Tammy) as well
as many nieces and nephews. His family was his greatest joy and source of
pride.
Leroy was predeceased by his parents Hub Davis and Annie Mae Davis, his
brother Phil Davis, his grandson Cody as well as his grandparents, numerous
aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Known for his love of fishing and racing, Leroy embraced life with enthusiasm
and a competitive spirit that earned him the nickname Rapid Roy. Whether
casting a line or racing at the racetrack, he found happiness in the simple
pleasures that brought people together. His passions reflected his zest for life
and his ability to connect with others through shared experiences such as beach
trips, camping trips or just spending a day grilling and fellowshipping with family.
Leroy’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who knew him. May
his legacy bring comfort to those who loved him.
