Born to the late Leroy and Mamie (Liberti) Gandy Sr., he was a lifelong Millville resident until he relocated to Vineland in 2024.
His work history in the custodial and general maintenance departments included Wheaton Glass Co., St. Mary Magdalen Regional School, and Van Hook Enterprises.
Leroy enjoyed his cats, watching the Philadelphia Phillies and betting on the horses.
Leroy was predeceased by his son, Paul Gandy.
He is survived by his children, Carol Lee (Gandy) Carter (Donald Sr.), and Leroy Gandy III; his grandchildren, Donald "Anthony" Carter Jr. and Makiyah Carter; and Carol Weaver (his former wife and mother of his children).
Graveside services will be held Friday, August 8, 2025, at 11am, at Holy Cross Cemetery in Millville.
Arrangements are under the direction of Christy Funeral Home, Millville.
Donations in memory of Leroy can be made to the South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter, 1244 N. Delsea Drive, Vineland, NJ 08360.
