Leroy C. Walker, 78, died Thursday May 29, 2025, at MyMichigan Medical Center, Midland, with family by his side. He was born on July 11, 1946, in Alma Michigan; one of three children of Roy and Anna (Slagel) Walker.
Leroy was a hardworking man who spent many years as a turbine inspector for Consumers Energy. As a young man he was called to serve his country during the Vietnam War and fought bravely as a member of the Marine Corps. Leroy was a faithful servant of the Lord and an avid member of Midland Church of Christ for over 50 years where he served the congregation in many roles including Deacon, Secretary, and Maintenance. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and in his spare time enjoyed playing a round of golf and camping with the family.
Leroy is survived by his wife of 56 years Judy (Stevenson) Walker; his children, Gary (Jen) Walker and Patrick (Carrie Ann) Walker; his siblings, Shari (Tim) Perry and Leane (Kirk) Barnard; his grandchildren, Samantha Walker, Brendan Walker, Michael (Elena) Walker, and Brandie Walker; and his great-grandchildren, Emma and Bryce Walker. Leroy is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents Roy C. Walker and Anna C (Slagel) Walker.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the Midland church of Christ, 1700 E. Patrick Rd., Midland, MI.
