She was born on August 12, 1962 in East Chicago, Illinois to Harlen and Florence (Kluga) Burke. Her world evolved around her grandkids.
Leslie was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Brenda Burke, Rachel Burke, and Theresa Burke; and friend Kelly Bright.
She is survived by her Jessica Buckingham; son-in-law Greg Peters; brothers William Burke, Harlen (Teri) Burke, and Raymond Burke; sisters Valerie Williams and Cheryl Allen; grandchildren Brianna and Jordan Pennington, Gunner Peters, and Jagger Gilbert; and great-grandchildren Haylee Johnson and Brody Pennington; good neighbor and friend; and special friend Renee Pratt.
Services will be held on Monday September 22, 2025 at 2:00pm in the Union Funeral Home with Dr. Brett Beasley officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00pm until 2:00pm prior to the service.
