Lewie Brown Obituary

Lewie Raymond Brown II,"LR," 80, died peacefully on July 3, 2025, at the Veterans Hospital in Little Rock, AR. LR was born in Fort Smith, AR to the late Lewie Raymond Brown I and Dessie Mae Williams in 1945. LR graduated from Heavener High School in 1963. Upon graduation, LR enlisted himself into the United States Air Force, which led him to serve in the Vietnam War.
After serving four years in the United States Air Force, he began his 25-year career as an Engineer at the Cotton Belt Railroad in Pine Bluff, AR and retired in 1993. LR was a proud veteran and supporter of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member of the Six Point Hunting Club for 51 years. He was also a member of VFW Post 4455 in Pine Bluff, AR, Combat Veterans Motorcycle Club, Jefferson County Gun Club, NRA (lifetime member), Memphis Classic Chevy Club in Memphis, TN, Midsouth Car Club in Sheridan, AR, and former member of S.A.S.S.
LR is survived by his wife of 26 years, Donna, his two sons, Raymond Dale and Erich, both of White Hall, AR, and daughter Heather (Josh Tittle) of Monticello, AR, four grandchildren: Hayden, Kylie, Rylan, and Baylor, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dessie Mae Williams Brown, father, Lewie Raymond Brown I, paternal grandparents, Bill and Sophia Brown and maternal grandparents, Thomas and Mattie Williams, sister, Ruth Ellen & spouse George Altstatt.
The family is holding a visitation service at Robinson & Fuller Funeral Home, 8302 Dollarway Road, White Hall, AR on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 5-7 pm and funeral Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 10:00 am. Burial will take place at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, AR, with Brother Wes Sparks officiating.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family requests contributions be made to VFW Post 4455 in Pine Bluff, AR.
