Lillian Barrett Zornes, age 90, of Emerson, Kentucky, passed away Friday, July 11, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Friday, May 3, 1935, in Lewis County, Kentucky, to the late Elmo Barrett and Donald and Jessie Stander Barrett Buckner.
Lillian was of the Christian Faith and loved singing and listening to Gospel Music. She enjoyed going to KFC, fishing, keeping her fingernails pretty and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Clayton Zornes; two sons, Roger Roe, Greg Zornes; one brother, Raymond Angel; three sisters, Darlene Nolen, Katherine Groves, Carolyn Collins; 3 grandchildren, Felicia Roe and 2 infants.
Lillian is survived by one daughter, Sandra Butler of Emerson, Kentucky; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three brothers, Carl Angel, Walt Buckner, Paul Buckner all of Bucyrus, Ohio, along with many other family, friends and neighbors, who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 7975 Lower Kinney Road, Vanceburg, Kentucky, with Brother Monroe Craig and Brother Terry Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Morgan Cemetery.
Friends may visit after 11:30 a.m., Thursday, July 17, 2025, until the service hour at Globe Family Funeral Chapel in Camp Dix.
Nick Butler, Gregory Zornes, Brian Roe, Michael Roe, Jason Roe, Chris Butler, Hunter Haile and Cameron Beckett will serve as pallbearers.
