Joyce "Joy" Stevenson Obituary

Joyce "Joy" Marie Johnson Stevenson, 67, of 212 Sasser Drive, Goldsboro, died Saturday, January, 30th at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She was born August 26, 1948 and was the daughter of the late Broughton Lee and Florence Marie Bender Johnson.

The Funeral Service will be conducted 12:00 noon Thursday, February 4th at Grace Baptist Church in Princeton. Reverend Stewart Koffman and Reverend Eugene Worley will be officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband; Tyrell "Terry" B. Stevenson, daughter; Theresa C. Weeks of Mt. Olive, Stepmother; Josephine Bowden Johnson, sister; Gloria Johnson Bowden and husband Don of Lexington, SC, brother; Rob Johnson of Raleigh; half brother; Marvin Johnson and wife Dora of Erwin, Arvin Johnson and wife Edith of Erwin; 3 Stepbrothers; grandchildren, Joshua Womack, Joey Womack and Heather Womack; a niece; Carrie Bowden and a nephew; Billy Bowden.

The family will be receiving friends beginning 10:30 – noon Thursday, February 4th at Grace Baptist Church.

Although flowers are welcome the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church, Princeton, NC or to Wayne County Animal Advocates Foundation, 3230 NC Hwy 111 N., Goldsboro, NC 27534.
