Linda Lee Blythe, 77, died on July 9, 2025, at her home in Wayne, Michigan.
Linda was born in Wayne on August 25, 1947, and was adopted by John and Deena Papp. She attended Wayne Memorial High School and earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Wayne State University.
On January 28, 1977, Linda married Bill Blythe and settled in Westland, Michigan. They had their first son, Jon, in January 1981, and their second son, Brian, in December 1983.
She became a registered nurse and worked for over 40 years as a psychiatric nurse at various hospitals in the Detroit area.
Linda had many hobbies, including crocheting and cross-stitching. She was an avid reader, enjoying mystery and thriller novels by John Sandford, Jodi Taylor, and Lee Child. She loved to watch Jeopardy!, NCIS, and The Big Bang Theory.
She was an animal lover and mother to many dogs - Honey, Bambi, Doxie, Gilda, Basil, Puppy, and Dink. Late in life, she adopted Kitty, her first cat.
Above all, Linda was an extraordinarily kind and gentle person. She was a supportive and loving wife and mother, and she loved nothing more than spoiling her grandson, Jack, with books and toys.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; her children, Brian (Megan) and Jon (Lynn); and her grandson, Jack. She was preceded in death by her mother, Deena, and her father, John.
Linda was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
