Kathleen “Katie” Swedin, age 73 of Faribault, MN passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Mill City Senior Living.
Kathleen Marie, the daughter of Robert and Bernas (Tebo) Dudley, was born on October 19, 1951 in Northfield, MN. Katie was raised in Northfield before her family moved to Faribault. She graduated from Bethlehem Academy with the Class of 1970. She was united in marriage to Daryl Swedin in 1972, they later divorced. Katie worked at Sheldahl for over 25 years as a Quality Control Inspector. While she wasn’t working, she enjoyed collecting items, especially Porcelain Dolls and Beanie Babies, and she loved spending time with her family. Katie loved her coffee and could tell you which K-Cups went best with specific candy bars. She was funny and always made people laugh! She was so comical and a jokester. Katie loved watching movies, she was a movie buff and loved all types of movies.
Katie is survived by her children, Sheri (Brent) Priebe and Robert Swedin; grandchildren, Mariah Swedin, Mason Swedin, Shayley Ferguson, Somer Ferguson (Tyler), and Jack Priebe; great-grandson, Jace Wubben; siblings, Margaret Dudley, Patrick (Kay) Dudley, Maureen Dudley, Vincent Dudley, and Timothy Dudley; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; great-grandchild, Madison Swedin; and sister-in-law, Susan Dudley.
Memorial visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. with a Time of Sharing starting at 12:00 P.M. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Northfield.
Funeral arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory.
