Linda Luterbach Obituary

Linda Lee Luterbach (nee Heberer), born on April 8, 1955, in Fort Knox, Kentucky, passed away on the morning of Thursday, June 26, in Fort Myers, Florida, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose warmth and generosity touched the lives of many.

Together with her loving husband of 52 years, Paul Luterbach, Linda built a beautiful life in Kewaskum, Wisconsin, where they raised their family before retiring in Fort Myers, Florida.

Among those who will continue to cherish her memory include her husband, Paul; her daughter, Sherry Luterbach, and Sherry’s children—Sophia, Noah, and Garrett Nedens—of the Fox Cities, Wisconsin; her son, Brad Luterbach, his wife, Bren Luterbach, and stepson, Brendan Manry, of San Diego, California; and her beloved sisters, Mary (and Randy Strupp) and Wendy (and George Dondlinger), both of Wisconsin. Also surviving Linda is her father, Roger Heberer of Campbellsport, Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Audrey Heberer (August 22, 2014). Her legacy also lives on through many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Faith was an essential part of Linda’s life. As a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kewaskum, Wisconsin, she shared her gifts by teaching Sunday School for 10 years and singing joyfully in the choir—roles she found especially meaningful.

A woman of deep passions, Linda delighted in cheering for the Green Bay Packers, cooking and baking for family gatherings, and opening her home to loved ones with warmth and joy.

Linda’s professional life began after graduating from Kewaskum High School when she took a position at West Bend Mutual Insurance, where she worked from 1973 to 1979. In 1986, she joined Oakbrook Family Physicians—later part of Froedtert Hospital—and remained there until her retirement in 2012. From 1992 to 2012, she also served as Vice President of Paul Luterbach Construction, managing the books and contributing to the family business with great care and diligence.

After retiring, Linda and Paul spent six wonderful years living in their RV, traveling across the country—spending summers in Wisconsin and winters in Florida—and meeting countless friends along the way, many of whom became lifelong companions. When they eventually settled in Florida, Linda quickly became the heart of her community, known for her welcoming spirit and her gift for bringing people together. She embraced the outdoors, often swimming or riding her bike under the Florida sun.

Those who knew Linda will remember her kind heart, unwavering love for her family, and joyful spirit. Her memory will live on in the lives she touched and the countless warm gatherings she hosted with laughter, good food, and love.

A visitation will be held on Monday, July 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Saint John’s Lutheran Church ( N683 County Road S, Kewaskum, WI, 53040), followed by a memorial service beginning at 12:00 p.m. An urn burial will take place immediately after the service.
