Linda Lea Athey Parham, 87 of Honey Grove, passed away July 10, 2025.
A graveside service has been set for Sunday, July 13, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Kilgore City Cemetery with Danny White officiating. No formal visitation hour will be observed.
Linda was born on September 23, 1937 on Greggton, Texas to Howard Williamson Athey and Velma Fern Bever Athey. She taught 6th grade at East Paris Elementary for 6 years, was Co-op Librarian for five schools in Palo Pinto County for five years. She taught 6th grade at Gordon for three years, then moved on to teach High School English for twenty years.
She is survived by her sons, Larry Allen Parham and wife Rhonda, Clyde Williamson Parham and wife Denise; grandchildren, Kim Riddle (William), Courtney Perez (Brandon), Jacob Parham, Cole Parham, Dana Ferrell; great-grandchildren, Ethan Graf, Kaylee and James Riddle; brother, Howard Estol Athey; sister-in-law, Roberta "Bobbie" Athey; 3 nieces and 2 nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Williamson Athey; sister-in-law, Jane Athey.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests for memorials to be sent to the Longhorn Association at Gordon High School. PO BOX 47 Gordon, Texas 76453
