Linda Sue (Forbes) Pearson, beloved daughter, mother, nurse, artist, and friend, passed from this life on June 25, 2025, at the age of 66 in Arnett, Oklahoma, where she had made her home since 2015. Linda was born March 19, 1959, in Buffalo, Oklahoma, to Thomas and CeCelia (Kern) Forbes. In infancy, she was baptized in the Zion Lutheran faith. She was raised in the Buffalo community, attending both grade school and high school there.
In 1982, Linda married Jeffery Dennison, and from this union came her greatest joy-her son, Ted. Later in life, she was united in marriage to Gary Pearson.
Linda pursued her passion for helping others by attending college in Dodge City, Kansas, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 1990. Her nursing career was one of deep commitment and compassion. She worked for Buffalo EMS during the 1990s and served in the ICU and emergency rooms at Harper County Community Hospital in Buffalo, Woodward Regional Hospital, and Clinton Regional Hospital. A notable and challenging moment in her career was responding to the devastating Greensburg, Kansas tornado in 2007, where her courage and care made a lasting impact.
In addition to her work in healthcare, Linda had a creative and entrepreneurial spirit. She operated a dog grooming business in Buffalo for several years and pursued many artistic endeavors. She was a gifted painter and sculptor, and her creativity shone through her participation in Nightmare in the Country, where she was a beloved cast member for nine years. She never missed a day even in the middle of health issues. In 2019, she and her son proudly shared the honor of "Person of the Year" for their teamwork and contributions to the event.
Linda was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed fishing, her greatest joy however, was spending every possible moment she could with Ted. For the last ten years she was by his side in nearly every aspect of life. Her love for Halloween sparked the creation of Red Dirt Monsters, a joint venture with Ted. Together, they handcrafted Hollywood-style latex masks and props for haunted attractions, movies, cosplay, and theater productions. Whether it was building a spooky prop or making a dream costume for a child, Linda brought joy and magic to those around her.
Linda will be remembered for her deep devotion to her family, her fierce creativity, her compassionate heart, and her love for life's adventures-whether in a hospital room, a haunted attraction, or a quiet creek bank with a fishing pole.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and CeCelia Forbes, her "daughter" Shannon Dennison, her aunts Jonnie Sue Forbes and Billy Jean Provience, her uncle Joe Forbes and other loved ones.
Her memory will be cherished by her beloved sons Ted Dennison of Arnett, OK and Chayse Thompson of Guymon, OK; daughter in law Ivy Dennison, grandchildren Peyton and Jentri Estep and great granddaughter Lennon Madison Eastep. Cousins Tommy and J.R. Gregory, Robert Provience, Leah Cunningham, other relatives and friends
