Linda Rusch, 81 year old Woodward resident, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025 in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church with Reverend Jason Dirks officiating. Private family burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Linda Mae (Shelton) Rusch was born on November 10, 1943 in Liberal, Kansas to Roy and Viola (Tucker) Shelton. Linda grew up in Liberal, Kansas and graduated from Liberal High School in 1961. Linda was united in marriage to Marvin D. "Bud" Rusch in 1961 in Liberal, Kansas. They were blessed with three children: Cindy, Jon, and Marla. Linda and Bud later divorced but remained very close friends. The family lived in Fairview and they moved to Woodward in December of 1966.
She worked as a Secretary for Search Drilling and worked for Buffy's Buffet for many years until her retirement. Linda loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed bowling, softball, and watching her grandkids sporting events and activities. Linda was a member of the Women's International Bowling Congress.
She is survived by two daughters: Cindy Bookstore and husband Les Hurley, Marla Goodwin and husband Robert; one son, Jon Rusch; nine grandchildren: Brogan Goodwin and wife Brianna, Chandler Goodwin and fiancee Madison Davis, Trevor Goodwin, Derick Vineyard, Tenesha Ceniceros and husband Felix, Brandon Rusch, Jaron Rusch and wife Diana, and Devon Morehead; great-grandchildren: Jocelyn, Chloe, and Emmitt Goodwin, Augsten Goodwin, Brooklynn Walker, Alexis Redinger, and one baby boy on the way; two brothers: Glen Shelton and wife Judy, Stanley Shelton and wife Kay; other relatives and friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three sisters, her husband Bud Rusch, and grandson Jonathon Rusch.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
