Linda Sharon (Hall) Zirkle, known as Nana by all who loved her, passed away at the age of 73, on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, in Fishersville, VA. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many with her kindness, compassion, and unwavering spirit. A pillar of strength for her family and source of joy for all those who knew her. She was born on May 30, 1951, in Charlottesville, VA., a daughter of the late Clyde Hall Sr. and Eunice Lawson. She joined hands in marriage to the love of her life Roger Zirkle who preceded her in death. Nana leaves behind a son; Kevin Zirkle and his wife, Anne, a daughter-in-law; Sheri Crissman and her husband, Irv, sister; Janice Shifflett, grandchildren: Ryan Zirkle, Olivia Rushing, Katelyn Zirkle, Zachary Crissman, Bekah Zirkle, and Brody Zirkle. Her pets were like children to her. Their names were Jake, Lewie, Smokey, and Frisco. Preceding her death besides her parents and husband was a son; Rodney Wade Zirkle, siblings; Gail Hall Kutch, Clyde Gordon Hall Jr Linda grew up in Albemarle County, VA., where she graduated from Albemarle High School. Nana worked for Morton's where she met the love of her life Roger, she also worked at AMP where she retired. Linda's Christian faith was strong. Earthly relationships are not always kind, but she knew she would be reunited with her son, Rodney Wade Zirkle, in God's timing. Linda was a faithful member of the Fishersville Baptist Church, she volunteered at Legacy Hospice, took stray cats to the vet to be fixed. She wanted the employees of Animal Hospital of Waynesboro to know how much she appreciated the special care they delivered to her animals. Nana was faithful in her service to the church. One of the things she always looked forward to was making the wreaths and decorating the church sanctuary for Christmas. You could always tell when she was part of the decorating by the special touches and her attention to detail. She loved flower arranging, gardening, painting, cooking, caring for others, loved all her animals, spending time with her family, camping, fishing, listening to bluegrass music, loved Jesus and shared him with others any time she could, she always mastered the competition of who could catch the most fish while camping at Peacefull River Campground. Nana had the gift of hospitality and always made everyone feel welcome. Her cooking was out of this world, especially her famous chocolate chip cake. Every time she held a baby or child she sang "You are my sunshine" to them. In honoring Linda's wishes her remains were cremated. A private celebration of her life will be held in Belington, WV., on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the convenience of the family.
