Lodys Faye Beck, 81, of Red Oak, Texas, transitioned from this life on July 25, 2025, while at Buffalo Creek.
Born February 23, 1944, in Hope, Arkansas, Lodys was the daughter of Lodis Wiley Williams and Annie May Fagan. A proud graduate of Hope High School, she went on to dedicate 35 years of service to AT&T as an accounting auditing clerk. After retiring, she continued serving her community as a dedicated church secretary, working under four different pastors, beginning with Pastor Kevin Kennington, and faithfully supporting her church family.
Lodys was known for her quiet strength, love of numbers, and an unmatched knack for keeping things tidy and organized. Her favorite pastime was simply keeping her home neat as a pin. She found deep joy in music, especially the Gaither vocal band, and never missed a day without reading her Daily Guideposts devotional. She was deeply loved by many of her retired AT&T friends and her extended church family.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Lodys is survived by her loving sister, Cloyce Williams; her cousin, Harowld Dorman of Magnolia, Arkansas; her special friend, Margaret; and Kayla Kennington, who affectionately called her “Grandma Lodys.”
Visitation will begin at 9:30am on August 4, 2025, followed by a celebration of her life at 10:30am, with Kevin Kennington and Donnie Carpenter officiating.
In honor of Lodys’ love for children and her generous spirit, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in lieu of flowers.
