Lois Jean Bangert, 96 of Lodi, Ohio passed away Friday, June 20, 2025 at Burbank Parke Care Center in Burbank, Ohio.

She was born Aug. 13, 1928 in Granger, Ohio to the late Kenneth and Hazel (Welton) Indoe. Lois attended her first 3 years of grade school in Granger before her family moved to Richman Farms in Lodi in 1937. She graduated as class Valedictorian from Lodi High School in 1946, and went on to graduate cum laude from Baldwin-Wallace College with a BS Degree in Home Economics in 1950. Throughout a 30-year teaching career, Lois taught at Leroy (Westfield Center), Wilmington, Highland, and finally Cloverleaf, retiring in 1986. It was at Highland School that Lois met a handsome football coach, Tom Bangert. They married on June 27, 1954, first living on the family farm, before moving to Baker Avenue in Lodi on their fourth wedding anniversary.

She was a member of Lodi United Methodist Church, Delta Zeta Sorority, Delta Gamma Teachers' Society, Lodi Literary Club 50+ years, Lodi Community Chest, Lodi Historical Society, Lodi Community Hospital Volunteer, Lodi's Stitch and Bitch, and two Bridge Clubs that endured for over 50 years.

Lois' greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Bill) Bauman; daughter-in-law, Karen Bangert (Michael); sons, Michael (Becky) and Bruce (Gayle) Bangert; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Dick Indoe; and many dear nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; son, Kenneth; and sisters, Eva Miller and Anita Reynolds.

Visitation will be Friday, June 27, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Parker Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi. Funeral Service will be Saturday, June 28, at 12 p.m. at Lodi United Methodist Church. Rev. J. Paige Boyer will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lodi.

If desired, the family suggests Memorial Contributions may be made to Cloverleaf Education Foundation, 7571 Ryan Road, Medina, Ohio 44256, or Burbank Parke Care Center, 14976 Burbank Rd., Burbank, OH 44214.
