Lois Mae Fitzpatrick
July 20, 1932 ~ July 16, 2025
Lois Mae Fitzpatrick died on July 16, 2025, just 4 days short of her 93rd birthday. Lois was born on the farm in Morgan, Minnesota, to Chris and Isabel Ziegenhagen. She was the second of six born to Isabel and Chris.
Lois was a hairdresser and homemaker, widowed at the age of 27. As her two young daughters began picking out dads from the Sears catalog, she realized that she needed to start dating. Lois met Leo Fitzpatrick ballroom dancing and romance followed.
Lois married Leo Fitzpatrick in 1963 after a proposal from daughter, Jodi (age 3) asking Leo to be her daddy. Jodi popped the question during Thanksgiving dinner with Leo's brother's family. They were married 58 years.
Lois was a great supporter of Leo's 32 years of teaching and counseling at Woodbury Junior High. After retiring in 1989, Lois and Leo enjoyed traveling to Arizona, going to skydiving events and swap meets.
Lois is survived by daughter, Jodi (Greg) Moulzolf of Andover, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four of her six siblings. She was also preceded in death by first husband, Roy Clarence Larsen; second husband, Leo Charles Fitzpatrick; and daughter, Brenda Kay Larsen.
Lois lived her life with courage, optimism, and love. She showed everyone that happiness is a choice we can all make. She always looked for the good in any situation. Her enthusiastic presence helped those around her to feel joy!
