Lois Jenkins Obituary

Lois Romriell Jenkins – Lois, age 90 beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. She was undoubtedly greeted and embraced by her sweetheart Lloyd who left her side in 2014.
Lois was born on June 26, 1934 in Pocatello, Idaho to Karl and Marian Romriell. She was raised in McCammon, Idaho her entire childhood. She was born into a home full of love and was the fifth of eight children. She was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served as Young Women President, Relief Society President, Sunday School Teacher, devoted Visiting Teacher, Stake Missionary and many other callings. In her later years, she served as a Temple worker for 6 ½ years in the Brigham City Temple.
She attended grade school at McCammon Elementary and graduated from North Marsh Valley High School in 1952. She was married on March 12, 1952 to Lloyd Jenkins in the Idaho Falls Temple. Together they welcomed four children into their home; Lewis, Linda, Leon and LouAnn. They instilled hard working ethics and the importance of doing the job right the first time in everything we did. Family was always top priority. As a family we worked together, played together and enjoyed just being together as a family.
She worked many years in the grocery store business as a checker and bookkeeper. Her final job was with Carl & Dons for over 30 years, retiring at the age of 70 when Carl & Dons closed their doors.
Lois is survived by her two daughters and their spouses; Linda (Wayne) Earl & LouAnn (Val) Oyler. Ten grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 7 great great-grandchildren and one brother Lyle (Melissa) Romriell. She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd, her sons Lewis and Leon and grand-son Brandon.
Funeral services for Lois will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 11:00am at the Thatcher-Penrose ward meeting house. A viewing will be held Thursday, April 24, 2025 from 6-8:00pm and Friday morning prior to funeral services
9:30-10:30am. All services will be held at the Thatcher-Penrose ward meeting house, 11475 West 10400 North Thatcher, Utah 84337. The service will be live-streamed and can be found below.
Interment will follow at the Malad City Cemetery in Malad Idaho, 181 Jenkins Avenue Malad City, Idaho 83252 at 3:00pm.
The family recognizes and are deeply grateful for all her family and friends who have loved her and visited her often. We love and appreciate all of you and hold you in our hearts. The family would like to extend our deep appreciation, love and respect for her Hospice and CNS staff who helped make her last days peaceful and safe.
