Mr. Lonzell Ashford Obituary
Mr. Lonzell "Bear" Ashford was the son of the late Willie Lee and Emma Mae Ashford. He was born June 7, 1960 in Winnsboro, SC and was called home to be with the Lord on June 27, 2025.
Mr. Lonzell was educated in the Fairfield County School System. He was formerly employed at the Fairfield County Recycling Center in Blair, SC. Lonzell had accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior and was a member of Morris Creek Baptist Church in Winnsboro, SC. Mr. Lonzell was a loving brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He was a warm-hearted person with a playful spirit and joyful demeanor. He loved church, fishing, riding his bike and his dog "Sheba". Mr. Lonzell was loved by everyone that encountered him.
Mr. Lonzell left to cherish beautiful memories three brothers: Joe Louis Trapp of Salisbury, NC, Willie Ashford Jr. and Melvin Ashford of Winnsboro, SC; three sisters: Emma Lee Ashford, Rosie (Charles) Gadson and Evelyn (Floyd) Peay all of Winnsboro, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews cousins and friends
Mr. Lonzell was preceded in death by parents, Willie Lee and Emma Mae Ashford.
Services for Mr. Lonzell Ashford will be 11 am Wednesday July 2, 2025 @ Morris Creek Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday July 1, 2025 from 2 pm to 6 pm @ Russell-McCutchen Funeral Home, 324 S. Vanderhorst St. Winnsboro Sc 29180.
