LORETTEA JANE PRESCOTT HEARL PAULSEN
Loretta Jane Prescott Hearl Paulsen, 59, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025 at MUSC in Florence after an illness. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at Magnolia Cemetery in Latta, directed by Richardson Funeral Home of Marion.
Mrs. Paulsen was born in Marion, SC, a daughter of Herbert Michael Prescott and the late Jane Ellen Haselden Prescott. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Keith Prescott. Loretta was involved with 4h club riding lessons, a member or McMillan Memorial Baptist Church, and the Moose Lodge. She was also a member of Southern Baptist Disaster Relief and Animal Rescue. Mrs. Paulsen worked as a Dog Park Manager and trained service dogs.
Surviving in addition to her father are her husband, Steven Anthony Paulsen of the home; her son, Georg "Caleb" Hearl (Jodi); stepchildren: Johnathan Paulsen, Josh Deel, Ashely Rawls, and Cassie McDonald; sister, Valerie Prescott Garris (Scott); grandchildren: Riley Downey, Blake Paulsen and Camden Paulsen.
