Lori Battles Brannon, 55, of Hartselle, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025. She was born in Winchester, Kentucky, to Howard Eugene Battles and Patsy Brewer Battles, the oldest of their three daughters. She graduated from Auburn High School and spent most of her life in north Alabama. Lori worked in the hospitality industry and held multiple jobs over the years to provide for her twin sons, Todd and Tucker. She made every decision with their future in mind. She never missed a milestone and became a second mom to many of their friends. She was saved in the 1990s and leaned on her faith throughout her life. Her favorite places were the Great Smoky Mountains and Panama City Beach, where she always found peace and joy. Lori was known for her grit, independence, and fierce love for her family. She spoke her mind, loved her cats and good music, and believed in doing right by others. She was known as "Lollie" to her grandchildren. Lori is survived by her sons, Todd Sargent (Amber) of Decatur, Alabama, and Tucker Sargent (Jessica) of Macon, Georgia; her mother, Patsy Jones of Decatur; her sisters, Lana Battles Leal, Lisa Battles, and Bebe Russell (Paul); her brothers, Beau Battles (Melissa) and Buck Battles (Megan); her grandchildren, Tristan and Turner Sargent, Marshall and Macie Sargent; Cleo and Caiden Matthews; her companion, Brad Harbin, who brought her comfort and joy in her later years; and many extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Battles; her stepfather, Tony Jones; and her husband, Ricky Brannon. A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home in Hartselle, Alabama.
