Lori Ann Fritz-Jones, a cherished mother, beloved sister, and awesome aunt passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on March 27, 2025, in Kansas City, Kansas, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born on December 20, 1965, in Chicago, Illinois, she lived a life full of determination and love.
Lori made significant contributions to her field as a skilled Civil Engineer in the aviation division with Burns and McDonnell. Her professional journey was marked by a commitment to excellence and an unwavering dedication to every project she undertook. A proud graduate of Louisiana Tech University, she demonstrated that hard work and education pave the way for success.
Outside of her career, Lori found joy in being a mother to her three boys and time spent with her family. One of her greatest pleasures was sharing joyful moments at the family lake house in Wisconsin, where laughter and love flourished. Lori was also active in just about everything her boys did and enjoyed photographing everything she could.
She leaves behind her sons, Chase, Brady, and Preston of Kansas City, her mother, Mary Fritz of Winter, WI, and her brothers, Bob (Katy) of Chico, CA and Kurt (Brenda) Fritz of Idaho Falls, ID, who will continue to celebrate her memory and the lasting impact she had on their lives.
Lori was preceded in death by her father, Paul D. Fritz, grandparents Bernard J. and Bertha A. Barnes; Dorothy O. Manetz and William Fritz; and step grandfather, Albert W. Johansen.
Her spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew her, leaving a legacy of love, resilience, and devotion to family that will endure through the years. A Celebration of Life will be held in the future; date and location are pending.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Perch Lake Fish Association (PLFA). You may either contribute at the PLFA summer meeting, if you are a member, or mailed to N7306 Fishtrap Lake Rd, Winter, WI 54896.
