Lorine Mathis Phillips, 89, of Inman, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at her residence.
Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on February 17, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Lettie (Roddy) Mathis and George C. Mathis and was the wife of James W. Phillips.
Mrs. Phillips was a member of Holston Creek Baptist Church for many years and retired from Springs Industries.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jimmy and Judy Crawley.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Marcia Yother; three brothers, Harold Mathis, George Mathis, Jr. and Paul Mathis and one sister, Margie Mathis Tucker.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, South Carolina with Rev. Barry Neely officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Gentiva Hospice, 101 North Pine Street #215, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
