Lorraine was born in Fall River, MA to Emma and Jean Dessert on Jan 17, 1933. She married William Lee Hicks on June 22, 1950 at Pohick Church Lorton, Virginia. She worked at historic Gunston Hall, cleaning, making costumes and decorating for seasonal events for many years. She was involved in Scouting and church activities.
Lorraine is preceded in death by her husband William, mother and father Emma and Jean Dessert, Sister Clara Lizotte, brother Alfred Dessert, sons in-law Martin Butcher, and Wayne Peer.
Lorraine is survived by her four children Theresa Peer, Francis Butcher, Barbara David (Dennis), William Dennis Hicks (Eileen).
Service will be held at:
Cranford United Methodist Church,
9912 Old Colchester RD,
Lorton Virginia 22079
11:00 viewing, 12:00 service followed by interment and repast.
