Lorraine Waller, age 76, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025, after a very lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 24, 1948, in Rahway, New Jersey. As a mother of 2 and grandmother of 5, Lorraine's family was her pride and joy. She always said her children's birth changed her life for the better and they felt that in the love and support she provided.
She was preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Olga Waller, and sister, Patricia Chrnalogar.
Lorraine is survived by her children Coleen (Jim) Crownover, Jason (Robbie) Young, grandchildren Justin (Elizabeth) Young, Ryan (Morgan) Young, Tori Crownover, Alyssa Young, Jillian Crownover; Sisters Diana Smith, Mary (Jimmy) Farrar, brother Steve (Cindy) Waller, sisters Joann Trimble, Eve (Brian) Ellis, multiple nieces, nephews and cousins who will never forget the love that she brought to their lives.
A special thank you to Davey Daniel, MD, and Jessica Scott at TN Oncology, Jesse Tucker, MD, and Kimber, pulmonary care, Cumberland Health and Rehab in Bridgeport, Alabama and Hospice of Chattanooga for their amazing support and care of our mother.
Funeral visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Companion Funeral & Cremation, 6018 John Douglass Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37421, with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Hospice Care Center, designating on checks in the memo: In Memory of Lorraine Waller, address 937 Blackford Street, Chattanooga, TN 37403 or to the family of Lorraine Waller for donations to be made to Tennessee Oncology Indigent Care Program.
