Obituary
Lorraine Ann Wynne
August 3, 1963 – July 13, 2025
Lorraine Ann Wynne, 61, passed away unexpectedly on July 13, 2025 at the Washakie Medical Center in Worland, Wyoming. Lori was born August 3, 1963 in Denver, Colorado to Robert Melvin and Ethel Lorraine (Gautney) Wynne. She joined big brothers, Robert and Steven in the family home. As a young child, the family moved to Kimball, Nebraska, later moving to Southern California during her early elementary school years. They returned to Kimball where Lori graduated from high school in 1981.
Her first son, Travis was born in Ogallala, but the draw to Kimball was strong so she returned home to raise her little boy. Through the years three other sons were born, Josh, Eric and Michel. She was delighted with each one of them and took jobs that would help her provide the best she could for her little family. This little tribe was her focus; she lived her life to make a life for her boys. She taught them to be strong, physically and mentally. As her tribe grew, adding grandchildren, she developed a love that seemed to surpass everything. She enjoyed watching them, playing with them and just being with them.
From the time Lori was a youth until her passing, individuals and groups of people were drawn to her. She was happy, bubbly and spunky! They would be drawn to this happy-go-lucky outlook which Lori displayed, no matter what hardships life might bring. She was seldom judgmental. If she saw you needed something, she would do her best to provide, maybe that was a meal, or a place to stay for a time. Her door was always open to those who were down on their luck. Her deep love wasn't only for people. She rescued numerous dogs through the years, giving them a home and so much love! She even named the neighborhood squirrels and made sure they were well fed.
2004 brought Lori to Worland. She worked at Jon's IGA, Family Dollar and Blairs until neck surgery forced an early retirement. She loved every opportunity to go camping or to add a new houseplant (which was given a name) to her collection. She was quick to recognize her Savior, Jesus was her answer and she had a very strong faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents and numerous rescue dogs. Survivors include her sons: Travis of Lincoln, Nebraska, Josh, Eric (Trisha) and Michel Parmer all of Worland; grandchildren, Jared, Jax, Parker and Maddilynn; brothers, Robert (Machelle) Wynne of Gering, Nebraska and Steven (Melanie) Wynne of Mitchell, Nebraska and her fur babies, Penni, Kyo, Solo and Kitty.
A Celebration of Life will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Sovereign Grace Bible Church 403 South 15th Street, Worland, Wyoming. Memorial donations may be made to Sovereign Grace Bible Church and sent to PO Box 524, Worland, WY 82401. Online condolences may be made at www.bryantfuneralhomeonline.com.
