Louis R. "Lou" DeRosa, Jr., of Harrison, entered into eternal rest peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Memorial Sloan Kettering, Manhattan, NY on Saturday, July 19, 2025. He was 81 years old.

"Mr. Fix it!"

The funeral will be conducted from the Mulligan Funeral Home, 331 Cleveland Avenue, Harrison, NJ 07029. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Church, Harrison at 11:00am. Friends and relatives of Lou and his family will be invited to attend his visitation on Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 3:00pm until 6:00pm and his Funeral Mass on Friday. There will be no visiting hours at the funeral home on Friday morning.

Born in Newark, NJ and raised in Harrison, Lou was a lifelong resident. He worked for the town of Harrison most recently before his retirement. Prior to that he worked for the Hudson County Sheriff's Office in Jersey City. Locally, he was a member of the Scots American Club in Kearny.

He served his Country during the Korean War in the United States Army and was Honorably discharged.

Louis is survived by his beloved wife, Rose Marie (nee Saitta), his loving son, Louis J. DeRosa and a cherished nephew, Michael DePasquale and many, many loving nieces, nephews cousins and their families and friends.

He predeceased by his parents, Louis R. and Rose DeRosa Sr., a sister, Virginia DePasquale and his niece, Donna DePasquale.

PLEASE OMIT FLOWERS. The family requests donations to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital in care of the funeral home, in loving memory of Lou.
