Louis A. Pastena Jr.

Fondly known to family and numerous friends as "Junior" of Wayne, NJ passed away peacefully July 23, 2025. Born and raised in Newark, NJ. He was predeceased by his parents Louis J., and Kathryn (Peccarelli) Pastena.

Louis proudly served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1967 and was honorably discharged as a Private First Class.

Louis was an active parishioner of Holy Angels Church in Little Falls, NJ. Louis made it a point to never miss Sunday mass whether home or away.

Louis worked diligently as an Investigator for the City of Newark in the Infectious Disease Division over four decades. Louis also held various positions with the A&P Food Stores over 50 years.

Louis is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 63 years, Gloria (Rose) Pastena and their two sons, Louis Pastena, Jr., his companion Toni Lyn and Marcus Pastena and his wife Angela.

Louis is also survived by his brother, Robert J. Pastena, his wife Eileen, and their daughters, Robyn, Jaclyn and Lori.

Louis was additionally blessed with five grandchildren, Danielle, Louis III and his wife Ashley, Kristine, Marcus, Jr. and Giovanna, and two great-grandchildren, Louis IV and Adelina Rose.

Among Louis' greatest passions were tending to his cars while listening to the music of Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett, spending time at the Jersey Shore in Wildwood Crest socializing with neighbors and fellow beachgoers. Louis could often be found meticulously manicuring the grounds around his home with Gloria. People would often stop and admire his lawn and seeking how to improve their lawns make theirs equally as green.
