Louise Hensley, a firm Christian, born on September 23, 1939, in Cincinnati, OH, was an extraordinary woman who stood as a beacon of warmth, generosity, and love in countless lives. Her captivating presence, infectious laughter, and radiant smile could light up a room, transforming it into a sanctuary of joy and camaraderie. A social butterfly by nature, Louise relished in the company of others, her home in Fishers, Indiana, often echoing with the delightful sounds of animated conversations, lively card games, and the stirring notes of her favorite music.
Louise was a master of many crafts, her fingers weaving magic into everything she touched. Her passion for crocheting was legendary; countless people found comfort in the blankets she lovingly crafted, tangible manifestations of her boundless generosity. An avid baker, she expressed her love through her culinary delights, each dish a testament to her nurturing spirit. Her giving nature extended beyond her home; whether it was treating workers at her house with delicious snacks and drinks or spreading the holiday cheer with her neighbors, Louise had a heart that knew no bounds. Yet, what mattered most to Louise was her family; she found her greatest joy in being a mother, a role she cherished and excelled in.
Louise leaves behind her daughter, Serena (Lewis) Barnes, and son, Anthony (Christina) Teal; grandchildren, Allacyn Rogers, Alexandra Teal, and Peter Teal; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Blanche Hagedorn, and her brother, Robert Hagedorn. She is also preceded in death by her late husband Donald L. Hensley and her first husband Marvin D. Teal.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at the Hartley-Dunnichay Funeral Home, located at 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, Indiana, 46034. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm at the same venue.
Louise's life was a beautiful tapestry of love, kindness, and generosity, woven with golden threads of joy, laughter, and warmth. As we bid her farewell, we invite you to celebrate her extraordinary life by sharing your cherished memories and photographs on her memorial page. Through these shared moments, may her spirit continue to live on, touching lives and spreading joy, just as she always did.
