Graveside services for Loyce Truesdale will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2025, at Memorial Hill Cemetery, with Brad Kraft and Ray Hull speaking. Arrangements are under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka.
Loyce Russell Truesdale, son of the late John Edward and Goldie (Brown) Truesdale, was born December 29, 1932, at Pleasant Hill, Illinois, and passed away at his son's home near Waynoka surrounded by family, July 7, 2025, at the age of 92 years, 6 months, and 9 days.
Russell was raised with his family traveling all around the United States. On March 9, 1955, he was united in marriage to Bertha Tedford in Muskogee. They made their home in the Waynoka area for over 50 years where they raised their family. In 1953, Russell honorably served in the United States Army until his discharge. He was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed hunting and playing his guitar.
Besides his parents, John and Goldie, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha; his son, Lance Truesdale; and all of his siblings.
Russell is survived by his son, Wes Truesdale and his wife, Kerri (Daughter), of Waynoka; daughter-in-law, Mandy Porter; his grandchildren, Scott (Easy) Truesdale and wife, Cherie (Hoppy), Wade (Tangle) Truesdale and wife, Sara (Sugar Plum), Jeana (Martha) Kraft and husband, Brad (Bradford), Alex Bull, Madison (Baby Girl) Bamburg and husband, Dominic (Nicodemus), Max and Chase Porter; his great grandchildren, Savannah (My Hannah) and husband, Cade, Alexis (Fidget) and husband, Jacob, Jackson (Ketchum), Sadie (Izzy), Cooper (Caboose), Jagger (Jag), Emrie (Sneaky), Pazelee Dedmon, Roman (Yankee Doodle), Abilene (Baby Girl), and Memphis (that Tough boy); other relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Memphis Bamburg Love Fund.
