Graveside services for Mr. Loyd Glynn Chelette, Sr. will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Hebron Cemetery, Dry Prong, with Reverends Lloyd Whitman and Dick Debusk officiating, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
Mr. Chelette, 77, of Dry Prong, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, in his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was an avid duck and squirrel hunter who also enjoyed working on engines, and tending to his garden and flower beds. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James "Sam" Elmer Chelette and Nola Beulah Chelette; three brothers; and two sisters.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of fifty-six years, Hollice Gale Chelette of Dry Prong; two sons, Loyd Chelette, Jr. (Donna) of Dry Prong, and Mike Chelette (Cresy) of Black Creek; two sisters, Margie Harvey of Dry Prong, and Susie Atwood (Al) of Dry Prong; and two granddaughters, Hali Chelette of Black Creek, and Marleigh Chelette of Dry Prong.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Kyle Locker, Paul Mundy, Wesley Atwell, Lynn Chelette, Jeff Chelette, and Ricky Mitchell.
