What a beautiful soul Luana is/was. We have had a 20 year journey as friends and I greatly appreciated her humor, her insight, her life stories, and her vision. I can still hear her laugh and feel the warmth she shared with her friends. I will always carry our friendship in my heart. `til we meet again my friend.
Love you always,
Debbie

I'm terribly sad to learn of Luanna's sudden passing. I loved her so much! What a personality! She was so intelligent and funny! I worked with her in Prescott Valley, Arizona and was blown away by her skills, talents and humor. When I retired from education last year, she sent me the most loving and amazing send off. I will always love Dr. Luanna G. Powell. Forever and ever.

The loss of Luana Powell is tragic, her talent with sign language had an impact on so many! She was a very sincere lady who helped so many people learning sign language to become proficient! She will be greatly missed!
